Buy Do It Yourself Whiteflies Control, Professional Grade Whiteflies Killer Spray

Despite their name, whiteflies are not actually flies at all, but are in fact closely related to aphids and psyllid. Whiteflies are not a very common insect to find in the landscape due to many predators that feed on them, most notably parasitic wasps. While not a nuisance in landscapes, there are many types of whiteflies and they can be very harmful to plants in the greenhouse setting where their living conditions are ideal and predators are not nearly as prevalent. Whiteflies do most of their damage by feeding on leaf tissue, mostly new growth, turning the leaves they feed on yellow and causing early leaf drop. When scouting for whiteflies, look under yellow leaves to find the groups of feeding insects-shaking a heavily infested plant can cause a cloud of the little insects to come out of the plant. In addition to the defoliation whiteflies cause, secondary damage is caused through honeydew. Much like aphids, whiteflies also leave sticky excrement called ‘honeydew’ on leaf tissue below them, which causes sooty mold. Sooty Mold is most easily treated by treating the root cause, which is your whitefly infestation. When looking for how to treat whiteflies, you are usually looking for products that are safe to apply in the greenhouse environment. There are many professional broad-spectrum insecticides that will do a great job and using insecticides with highly translaminar properties is recommended as most insects are found on the underside of leaf tissue. In addition to sprays, total release aerosols can be very useful in the treatment of whiteflies in greenhouses, allowing entire greenhouses to be treated without someone spraying the plants, efficiently treating all above-soil parts of the plant including the underside of leaves. We highly recommend total release aerosols as an efficient and thorough control method in the greenhouse setting.
