TransFilm Anti-Transpirant creates a coating across leaf surfaces creating a clear glossy layer that is impermeable to water. The addition of this coating in the late fall decreases the rate of transpiration, or water loss, that trees and shrubs experience in the cold winter months. This in turn allows leaf tissue to make it through the winter unharmed. Applying TransFilm in the early Spring creates the same water-impermeable coating, helping to prevent disease activity caused by the excessive moisture associated with Spring.
